Choose the right entertainment for your event

It’s hard to succeed with an event that lacks any element of entertainment. Even the most business-oriented events contain some form of entertainment to give attendees a break during the day. Not only is it easier to absorb the rest of the day if given a break, but we also get something to talk about, even when the event is over, which benefits you and your company. But what kind of entertainment is most suitable, and how should you fit these elements in during the event?

With the right emcee, you’ll need nothing more

“Keep it simple” – a classic and often heard proverb. The truth is that this is a proverb with high value. Having the right emcee at your event might be the only thing you need. And by the right emcee, we mean someone who doesn’t just run the show throughout the event, but who can also figure as a characterful storyteller in between acts.

There are many comedians out there that can be hired as emcees and there are plenty of good reasons to choose a comedian. If you have a person who can tell stories, jokes, “aha-moments”, and maybe even sing between acts, you really don’t need anything else.

If the purpose of your event is to convey a lot of information and knowledge to your attendees, it might be a good idea to have an emcee that helps them relax in between acts, allowing the brain to rest a while. This way, attendees get more from the day than just a long lecture. They get a day of laughter, recognition, socialising, and learning in fun ways.

Get people talking with a magician

Magic has kept humans fascinated for nearly 4 000 years and is still the perfect form of entertainment. Many magicians like to involve the audience in their tricks, which really gives people something to talk about after the event when they want to relive the day.

Live bands provide great atmosphere

A live band is a great way to create a friendly atmosphere where the audience can vary the use of their senses. It provides a break for your thoughts and creates a great feeling, provided that the audience appreciates the music, of course.

Keep it cost effective with a dance show

There is probably not a single city in Sweden that does not have a dance school. If you’re out in good time, you can often book a budget-friendly dance performance from the local dance schools. See what your city has to offer when it comes to dance. Because this is an art form that offers your audience cultural value as well as a local feel.

Light shows

Light shows of various kinds have become increasingly popular. This may be suitable for events with different level cultural links since light shows are art in a newer and digitised manner. Furthermore, a well-choreographed light show is a delight for almost all of our senses – preferably in combination with music.

"Magnet is incredibly flexible! Arranging events was previously a manual process for us that took a lot of time, as it included everything from handling registrations and unsubscribers in an excel sheet, to manual invoicing and more. Magnet now solves it all. The presentation, invitation, registrations, check-ins and invoicing in one tool. Incredibly smooth! We are very satisfied Magnet customers."
